Vienna is a city of many faces. Trendy clubs, "young" galleries, modern architecture and stylish shops are as much Vienna as the state opera, concert halls, the large museums, the splendid buildings and the nostalgic shops. Chic, elegant and cool – with a good dose of design. That describes the ‘in’ places to go to in Vienna. Where people head to dance, eat and drink – in an ambience that has to be seen. The many establishments are just as stylish as the crowd that frequents them. Design-oriented restaurants offer more than just good food - after-dinner drinks invite guests to stay a while longer. Alternatively, they can head to one of the many cocktail bars. Even the traditional coffee house can be a trendy place to go in Vienna or present itself in a modern guise.
CityFlat "MoMa" Vienna is the perfect starting point to reach all major hotspots and attractions easily and quickly - even on foot. The completely equipped and newly renovated two-room apartment with balcony in the quiet courtyard is located in the 4th district of Vienna. "Auf der Wieden" we say in Vienna. The first district - the city center, the Vienna main station as well as the beautiful Belvedere palace are in the immediate vicinity. The extensive and historic garden area around the Belvedere Palace can be used by sports enthusiasts as an imperial trek.
The connection to the public transport network is very good, the metro station of line U1 (Taubstummengasse) and the 13A bus (Rainergasse / Favoritenstraße) are within a few minutes. Grocery (Gourmet Spar), Edelgreisslerei (Opocensky), Farmer's Market St. Elisabeth Square, bakery, drugstore, tobacconist and - most importantly - coffeehouses are all just around the corner (Café Wortner, Café Goldegg).
The flat is located on the 1st floor of a recently renovated ancient building with elevator and offers 60 square meters of space for 2 people.
The bedroom has a large double bed (King-Size) for a good night's sleep and a lot of energy in the morning, LCD cable TV and a small desk. Clothing and luggage can be stowed in the large closet.
Delightful breakfast or dining, lounging or relaxing (or work) can be enjoyed in the living room/kitchen with dining area and sofa. The kitchen is well equipped: cooker with ceramic hobs, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, toaster, water- and egg cooker, salt & pepper – for the spice of life. :-)
In the bathroom, with window in a small atrium, is a bathtub, a shower with "rain spray head", a large sink with shelves, a heated towel rail and a BOSCH washing machine. The toilet is separate.
The City flat "MoMa" can be booked for short or longer stays. Business travelers are just as welcome as holiday guests. The final cleaning is included. In case of longer stays you can order an interim cleaning for a fee.

From the airport Wien-Schwechat to the city center, it takes you between 30 and 60 minutes – depending on traffic and transportation. By Taxi it is convenient and easy. Depending on the provider the taxi can be ordered online in advance; Costs between 25 and 36 Euro. The CITY AIRPORT TRAIN (CAT) is a train without intermediate stops between the airport and “Bahnhof Wien Mitte”. From “Bahnhof Wien Mitte” to the the flat it takes you about 5-10 minutes by taxi – depending on traffic.

There is parking space around and in front of the house. On weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9 am to 10 pm you need a parking ticket, because the 4th district is a chargeable parking zone. Park tickets may be bought at tobacco shops and in subway stations (machines). The closest tobacco (called “Trafik” in Austria): Favoritenstraße 40. The nearest subway station: U1 Taubstummengasse.
Opposite the flat there is a paid parking garage (about 34 Euro per day): Garage beim Theresianum, open 24/7. A little further away, but cheaper (about 10 Euro per day)

We had the opportunity to spend three days in this apartment in December 2017. It was an exceptional place, typical architecture and finishing’s. It’s almost an open place between the kitchen and lifing/dinner room and the bedroom. The house has all the appliances to perform a regular living. All the amenities are present, coffee machine, hot water machine, oven and even dishes. A nice touch is the presence of coffee caps and several teas we could try. Also a nice touch that eases the life of the visitors is that the hosts provided a small “book” with a lot of information, since coffee houses nearby, taxis, sightseeing places, etc., as well several brochures from Wien. The location is really good, and if you like to walk, is near the city center. A small walk time of 10 minutes and you are in the Opera House and a 2 minutes’ walk and you have access to the subway and bus. To visit the Innere Stadt we never used the (excellent) public transportation.
After the three days visit, we found the apartment amazing. It was clean and tidy. We felt absolutely like home. The hosts were available all the time if we needed and never intrusive with our presence. The hosts were patient to the guests with several changing arrival times.
IT was really delightful to spend these days in Wien, and this apartment was really a nice part of such success. Hope we can visit Wien again, and if that happens, we will seriously consider staying here again.

Really had a great stay in Vienna and in Monika & Manuela's flat! They were very helpful in advance of my arrival, and Monika met me at the flat and gave me a quick tour. Check in and out couldn't have been easier. The apartment is _brand new_ and is thoughtfully and tastefully furnished with a large bathroom (and washer) and well-appointed kitchen. There are several windows and a small balcony (big enough for a table for two) that open onto a courtyard. The U-bahn is two blocks away (just a stop to Karlsplatz, two to Stephensplatz), the Hauptbahnhof is about 5 blocks the other direction, and there are numerous grocery stores, restaurants, and a laundromat within a few blocks. Everything seems close. The bed is comfortable and there's a huge closet (which I'd love to have at home). My only criticism is that the TV is in the bedroom and only viewable there, instead of in the living room. It's a large TV (and a large number of channels); wished it were on a swivel to the LR. One likely doesn't visit Vienna to watch TV, so not a huge deal. One does visit Vienna to see the city, and this is a really great spot from which to do so. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

This is an excellent appartment that caters for all needs, both for business trips and vacation. The quarter is great for dining out and enjoying Vienna. Location near trainstation and the U2 is a strong asset.
We enjoyed the communication and friendliness of Monica and Manuela again.
Certainly will be back next year.

Die Wohnung hat eine sehr gute Lage und ist perfekt ausgestattet. Obwohl die Wohnung zentral liegt (Stephansplatz ist nur zwei U-Bahnstationen entfernt), ist die Wohnung schön ruhig. Monika und Manuela sind sehr angenehme und tolle Gastgeberinnen, denen die Zufriedenheit ihrer Gäste ganz offensichtlich am Herzen liegt. Ein angenehmer Platz, um diese wunderschöne Stadt zu genießen und es sich gut gehen zu lassen.
