This penthouse is very bright and airy. It consists of a double bed an open plan kitchen/living. The kitchen comes fully equipped. Leading to a sunny terrace with an outdoor seating area and a gas bbq. It also has a one family bathroom with a shower cubicle.
This lovely penthouse is set right in the heart of Sliema, just a minute away from the promenade that is full of shops, restaurants by the sea, ice cream parlours, internet cafes, daily cruise ships round Malta, or ferry boats that take you to the capital city Valletta. The bus stop that is just down the road can either take you towards the northern part of Sliema or St.Julian's area, famous for its night life and beautiful sandy beach known as St. Geaorges' Bay, or south towards Valletta from where you can catch the bus to visit any part of the island. Without doubt, this penthouse is located in one of the best parts of Sliema.
Sliema was once just a fishing village on the north-east coast of Malta but later on it started to become popular for the wealthy Valletta residents who built summer residences here.
The commercial centre is The Ferries - in the days before regular bus services, the Ferries used to connect Sliema to Valletta. Nowadays the Harbour Cruises and Gozo Tours set off from there and there is still a Ferry to Valletta. There are also a number of cafes and shops patronised by locals from all over Malta as well as tourists.
Though to the given modern twist due to newly built apartments one could go into the side streets where there are many of the town`s authentic houses which are now under preservation orders. There aren`t really any historical sites apart from the Churches.
Full of shops, entertainment establishments, rocky beaches and best of all the 5 km long Sea Front Promenade with a number of bars and restaurants with plenty of seating all along. There are beach lido`s and Water Polo clubs that offer all amenities and a large pool to visitors, also facilities for Water Sports. It starts from St Julians Spinola Bay to Manoel Island in Marsamxett Harbour .
The Sliema promontory has stunning views of Valletta on one side with open sea on the other. Along the Promenade one can enjoy the lovely view of our Mediterranean sea, with some bays and inlets. There is also a garden along the sea shore - lovely for relaxing.
There is only a small sandy beach, but the limestone beach is excellent for sunbathing and there is easy access to the sea. Nothing beats a dip in the blue sea! Sliema has the advantage of a good bus service with direct buses to most places of interest.
In Summer and fine Winter days, whole families congregate on the Front for a leisurely evening or afternoon. It is also serves as a meeting place for the locals. Whenever the sea is rough in winter, it`s awesome to see the huge waves pounding the rocky beaches.
Sliema adjoins St Julians and although they have very different cultures and share the Promenade , in a way they can be considered one big town.
Please note that the rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-old and older.

Payment is all to be done all in advance to the website. After 24hrs from the tenants physical check in the funds will be then transferred to us.
A refundable breakage deposit of 300euro is to be paid on arrival via credit card.
Please note that the price being paid for the property includes basic utilities:
- for 1 bedroom apartment- 100KWh
free per week with the apartment which is more than sufficient. However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceeded, an extra charge will apply at a rate of 0. 35c per KWh. Other than that there are no other hidden expenses or charges.
Cleaning of the property prior the arrival and after departure is included in the price. Any extra cleaning during accommodation will incur extra charges. Two sets of towels per person and one set of linen per bed is also provided by us, then it is up to one's discrepancy to wash them as much often as desired.
Monthly rate it is also available, please ask for quote.
Also please do note the utilities are NOT included on a monthly rate but paid for as much as one consumes.Long lets also available rates upon request from owner.Apartment also available for long term booking of 6months or even longer please ask for quote.

Soggiorno confortevole in zona vicina alle comodità. Alloggio molto ben tenuto, pulito e dotato di tutti i comfort (doppio condizionatore, asciugamani, phon, adattatori prese, microonde, bollitore, tostapane, televisione). Gradito il pacchetto di benvenuto con le cose essenziali per la cucina oltre alla bottiglia di vino.
Il valore aggiunto all'appartamento è naturalmente il terrazzino, dotato di barbecue gas e ombrellone, che fa dimenticare i 3 piani di scale senza ascensore.
Da segnalare positivamente il sistema di sicurezza per le porte ed il recupero del codice/chiave in caso di smarrimento.
Consigliato e da tornare.
Sehr gute Unterbringung in Sliema. Von der Lage her genial. Mit Bus oder Fähre schnell in Valetta oder anderen Orten auf Malta. Sehr sauber. Eine nette Überraschung das Willkommenspaket (Würzmittel, Spülmittel, Wein, Seife,....) Ausstattung mit Inventar war gut, Wifi vorhanden.
Gute aber zügige Einweisung durch Steve. Schade war nur, dass das ursprüngliche Appartement plötzlich (einen Tag vor Anreise) anderweitig belegt war. Der Ersatz war o.k. (s.o.) aber der Ausblick war nicht so toll. Versorgung in der Nähe gut, auch nette Cafes und Restaurants. Insgesamt aber sehr zufrieden
Disfruté tres semanas en el centro de Sliema; perfecta ubicación y bellas vistas desde el apartamento. Atención exquisita por parte de la persona de contacto, Ans Ankone.
La llegada fue algo brusca por parte de nuestro anfitrion steven. Por lo demas , el apartamento era muy agradable y nos dejaron un ventilador para no depender siempre del aire acondicionado.

Das Appartment war hübsch. Im Badezimmer fehlten Abstellflächen und in der Dusche war keine Seifenschale und kein Behälter für Seife, Shampoo neben der Dusche, man mußte alles am Boden abstellen. Da die Straße sehr laut war, auch nachts, haben wir um ein anderes Appartment gebeten und das haben wir dann auch bekommen. Das war guter Service
Lage ist einmalig, Ausblick in den oberen Appartments sehr toll, gab jedochceibe Cerwechslung der Appartments und daher zunächt einige Verwirrung bei der Anreise
Parkpl atzsituation warf für das Mietauto sehr scheierig aber due L age unmittelb ar am Fährterminal bach Valetta sehr hikfreich
All'ultimo momento (stavamo già imbarcandoci per Malta) sono stato contattato per comunicarmi il cambio di appartamento. L'agente è stato, però, gentile ed è venuto a prenderci all' aeroporto di Malta accompagnandoci alla nuova destinazione. L'appartamento era bello e attrezzato di tutto quanto ci serviva. Era anche vicino alla fermata dei bus da dove si poteva raggiungere qualsiasi località. L' unico neo la connessione internet un po' ballerina. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati molto bene.
Nice apartment in a lively neighborhood. The apartment has enough room,plenty of storage space and all amenities. AC throughout and two terraces complete the picture. The beds were not really to our liking and could do with an upgrade. The locks of the terrace doors were broken and the doors could not be locked. Not a big problem since the terrace itself could not be accessed other than from the apartment itself, but a little upkeep wouldn't hurt.
All in all we had a lovely week in this apartment on Malta.
The apartment was Flat 2 in Sapphire - an excellent two bedroom apartment . Well renovated, spacious and just two minutes walk from The Strand waterfront. The welcome box included wine and basic essentials and the facilities are first class. Highly recommended!!
