VERY BAD LOCATION! ! !
Home: Arrival JFK 22h 35 midnight so on site, a person at the reception quite incompetent at 2am still in their offices to get the keys, finally obtained after waking the boss of the agency and the phone threat to call the police. My family so 2 young children, meanwhile, in the street with suitcases.
Apartment rented for 8 people, 4 bedrooms, but certainly both won on the living room, dining area by a plywood partition.
Therefore the living room was limited to less than 9 m2.
For 8 people, only 1 bathroom, tiny with the toilet inside, easy to manage for 8.
Furthermore, all in all 4 chairs, 4 glasses no towels ...
no machine, dishes or laundry.
Only reaction of the agency, lamps were changed suckled and large plastic tape has been to close off the wall on the street.
Cleanliness very limit.
In addition an amount for late arrival was taken as well as a non-recovered deposited $ 525 to date.
ADDRESS TO AVOID ABSOLUTELY.
TRES MAUVAISE LOCATION ! ! !
ADRESSE A EVITER ABSOLUMENT.
We arrived NY 13 April in glorious sunshine and retrieved the key to our apartment. The apartment was very central, with lots Puper, restaurants, Amy's Bread across the street where we bought fresh bread every day, and small grocery stores. The apartment was somewhat worn, do lid was loose, missing legs on one dining room chair, and for us who had planned to cook something yourself, it lacked some service. Glass was little off, so it had to be cleaned up after each time. It also lacked things like wash rag. No problem to buy, but seems it's like going to lie there. The bathroom was very soft after shower. When we arrived the apartment was this really hot and we were airing one bedroom. The window allowed himself open, but not again. This was also the bedroom off the main street so it was impossible to be there. We tried calling arrival, but got no reply. We went there the next day and they said they were aware of the problem. We were not the first this had happened. First Friday they turned up and repaired the window. This meant that three of us had to share a bedroom. So far no problem, but it was not what we had paid for. This draws some down.
Conclusion: The location was very good, but do not think it was been the 26,000 we paid for a week in respect of the things mentioned.
The stay was dreadful. Drafts in the flat. No heating (in November !!!). We were supposed to stay 6 nights, we stayed 2, we tooked refuge in a hotel... Humidity, mold. Painting hides poverty. Owners didn't want to give the money back. One room didn't have window.
The apartment served us well during our recent stay in New York. The location is excellent, nice affluent area with lovely restaurants and bars close by. The Subway stop is only one block away on 79th st and this leads to all attractions. The apartment is relatively spacious, 2 of the bedrooms are much bigger than the other 2 and some of the plug sockets and air con units don't work, Wi-Fi is flakey but other than this we would highly recommend the apartment, it was extremely clean with plenty of towels and bedding.
This is an agency that manages the nominated property, they are available at your service in case of problems, as was our case upon arrival with the apartment door that remained locked with inability to reopen. Reactivity was perfect from the team. Regarding the apartment itself, it is quite the pictures and description, spacious, however little light as recessed floor but as we spent our nights only this n was not a concern. The location is great (5 minutes walk from two metro stations). I recommend this apartment to stay in New York. We really enjoyed the scene
A perfect week in the city which never sleep...
2 minutes by foot of time square, 5 minutes of the 5th avenue, what more can you ask for?...
We stay at 4 adults and a baby on the flat and the size was perfect.
Raphael and his colleague always answer to all the mail and the service to pick up off the keys or leave the luggages on the last day was very appreciable!
For our next trip in NYC we call upon to Raphael and Casanova Condos for sure! So don't hesitate to!
First of all, we were surprised to find out, that the keys needed to be picked up in another place. We asked to meet at the apartment as we want to be sure everything is clean and work properly. Host did not accept our proposal. Now we know the reason.
The apartment is a nightmare!. It is DIRTY!!!! Hair and spots all over the place (no wonder, they do not have a vacuum cleaner, only an old and dirty broom). There are 2 ½ bathroom, each of them were in terrible conditions, you will find black spots in the showers (fungus). Doors cannot be looked up as the door knobs are broken.
We (ten people) spend money buying cleaning stuff, and several hours cleaning the apartment. It was not possible to contact the office, as they went home by then.
Next day, we called the office and explained the situation. A lady was sent to clean, but without the most necessary tools to do it professionally, as written in the homepage. There were not enough bed clothes, dishes and pans.
Besides all the dirt, following appliances were not working properly: Washing machine, internet, and AIR CONDITIONING. We would like to mention, that the outside temperature in New York was around 36 and 40 °C.
Dealing with the people of “Casanova Condos” was very unpleasant. They are very rough. We were insulted. Our host “Raphael” never showed up. The manager offered us $400.00 for the cleaning, and all other costs we had (taxis to the office and several calls to Spain and Germany looking for support with WINDU). We never received the money. The explanation was that we broke 4 beds. We were not allowed to go back into the apartment to proof this was not the true.
If you care about cleanliness and good maintenance of the place you want to stay, this is not the place for YOU. We checked at the Consumer Office of New York City and found out “Casanova Condo” is not recommended as a serious business partner
Great location for exploring Manhattan. We are a family of 7 persons. It was very easy to get around either by walking og by subway. We really enjoyed Central Park which was just next door. It was a very quiet street with no noise at night. We also walked down to the Hudson River and saw the 4th of July firework.
We really liked the apartment. The 4 bedrooms gave plenty of room for our big family. 2 bathroom and 1 toilet was perfect. We were eating out the most of the time, so the limited kitchen supply was not a problem. The WIFI speed was very slow if there was many users at the same time.
We had a great week in New York
