Rome today is one of the most important tourist destinations of the world, due to the incalculable immensity of its archaeological and artistic treasures, as well as for the charm of its unique traditions, the beauty of its panoramic views, and the majesty of its magnificent "villas" (parks). Among the most significant resources are the many museums – (Musei Capitolini, the Vatican Museums, Galleria Borghese, including those dedicated to modern and contemporary art and great many others) – aqueducts, fountains, churches, palaces, historical buildings, the monuments and ruins of the Roman Forum, and the Catacombs. Rome is the 3rd most visited city in the EU, after London and Paris, and receives an average of 7–10 million tourists a year, which sometimes doubles on holy years. The Colosseum (4 million tourists) and the Vatican Museums (4.2 million tourists) are the 39th and 37th (respectively) most visited places in the world, according to a recent study.
Rome is a major archaeological hub, and one of the world's main centres of archaeological research. There are numerous cultural and research institutes located in the city, such as the American Academy in Rome, and The Swedish Institute at Rome, to name a few. Rome contains numerous ancient sites, including the Forum Romanum, Trajan's Market, Trajan's Forum the Colosseum, and the Pantheon, to name but a few. The Colosseum, arguably one of Rome's most iconic archaeological sites, is regarded as a wonder of the world.

Reviews of this property
Apartment according to the announcement.
Good environment, transport, shops.
Quick response by mail Sabrina.
Welcoming and accommodating to schedules and baggage.
Too bad utensils (pots and mini oven) are so outdated!
Appartement conforme à l'annonce.
Bon environnement, transport, commerces.
Réponse rapide par mail de Sabrina.
Bon accueil et arrangeant pour horaires et bagages.
Dommage que les ustensiles (poêles et mini four ) soient si vétustes !
We (a family with two children) stayed in this appartement for five days and enjoyed it very much! It´s a simple but comfortable flat and its position in the city is brilliant! Just a few meters to the next tram station and from there about ten minutes to reach the historic center of Rome.
Reviews for this host's other properties
The apartment is situated in walking distance (ca 8min) to the Vatican,
It's spacious with 2 big bedrooms and one very small one with a kind of sofa bed-
Towels are there, bedsheets were fresh- a bottle of red wine and croissants for the morning welcomed us- the person called Mrs Anna was very helpful and welcomed us with cheer...
The elevator takes you the last floor and the flat is bright-
The only thing to recommend to the house keeper is a better cleaning- we did a lot while we were there, as buying washing liquid and sponges- cleaning the coffe mashine and i tried to remove the lime in the water boiler..
But besides that it's perfect
Thank you for making our stay so nice
It is a nice little apartment with good central location .
The communication with the owner Sabrina worked fine.
Nice apartment and nice host. Very patient even though we where almost an hour delayed for our arrival.
close to all the central attractions.
Sabrina was af great host. She gave us some details about rome and was Nice and sweet
We had a very nice stay in Rome. The apartment is located near the vatican. So it was a good starting point for all our activities.
Sabrina helped us to find a taxi from and to the airport which made it very easy to find the apartment. And she answered all our questions which we had before travelling there as far as it was the first time for us to book with Wimdu.
I can really recommend her as a host.
Very nice expirience. Very nice apartment in a perfect place. Sabrina was the perfect host.
I strongly recomend it.
We were very well received by Sabrina, despite the very late hour of our arrival! The apartment is very good and very nice. We highly recommend this offer, grazie Sabrina!
Nous avons été très bien reçus par Sabrina, malgré l'heure très tardive de notre arrivée ! L'appartement est très bien placé et très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement cette offre, grazie Sabrina !
We had a great stay in Rome, in a VERY NICE appartment. It was clean, had a lot of space (for the 2 of us) and had a very high standard - this is really a "Colosseum luxury appartment".
