There is a Carrefour market about 100 mt. far from our building (always open 24/7), a bakery, a fruitshop, restaurants, bars and pizzerias along the street.
The neighborhood is not a touristic place and here you can live like a local resident. The quarter is safe, lively during the day but quite calm at night, since there is no movida (if you like it you can get there walking - about 20 minutes - or by bus). You can walk around the town if you like walking, but there is a fast, frequent and useful bus (n.64) that crosses all downton, getting you close to most attractions, if you prefere.
We are really close to St Peter and its magnificence and viewing St. Peter's place by night is an exciting experience. If you like Nativity Scenes you can visit that of the roman street cleaners, open almost the whole year; it is built with small bits of stones from all over the world. The Pope visits it every year. Really beautiful and a few minutes walking away from our building.
There is a playground in 5 minutes walk, next to St. Peter’s railstation too.
In addition there are two hospitals, the Santo Spirito, near St. Peter's Square, and Bambino Gesù, pediatric; both are within walking distance.
Not far from us there is a wide, wonderluf public park (Villa Pampjili) where enjoying walking and jogging, It was the country residence of a family of the Roman nobility, and so has come down to us intact. The villa itself is a representative office of the President of the Council of Ministers. Nearby there is also the Gianicolo, beautiful terrace on Rome with lots of trees, a view that embraces the whole town, and a merry go rond for kids.
We live in the same building. We like welcoming guests personally, unless we are out of Rome, and saying good bye when they leave. We are available for any information. Do not hesitate to contact us if necessary.
The quarter is very well connected.
Our location is just 5 minutes far away from S. Peter's railstation (from/to Fiumicino airport - change in Trastevere railstation - and Civitavecchia).
From/to the airport pick up service available (fee).
There is a free parking 200 mt far from the building (white stripes), but an indoor parking (fee) is available as well.
Car not recommended to get around in Rome
64 bus is frequent, fast and crosses all downtown until Termini railstation, getting you close to most important sites to visit.
Metro is farer (beyond St. Peter) and you can't enjoy the beauty of Rome travelling underground.
You can walk as well, if you like. Navona place is about 20-25 minutes far away and I love walking there. Moreover, even if downtown is very wide, you can enjoy your visit walking, so you can go around narrow and characteristic streets, almost without cars, and discover the real soul of old Rome, that you can't see using buses on the main streets.

Reviews of this property
We really enjoyed our stay at Giovanna's apartment. Giovanna was always available, very helpful, and made us feel at home. The apartment is big, well equipped, and in a great location. St. Peter's Square and the San Pietro train station are a two-minute walk, and a 24/7 supermarket and a fantastic pizzeria (Vesuvio) are close by. We would definitely stay at Giovanna's apartment again!
Recently my family (6 persons) spent a long weekend in Giovanna's apartment, and it was simply great. The apartment was impeccably clean, nice terrace, big enough bedrooms and baths and very well decorated. Actually, we were very much impressed by how it looks (even better than the photos, we found). The location was nice as well: close to the Vatican, a 20 minute walk to the city center and in a neighborhood that houses some nice cafes, restaurants and grocery shops. Giovanna is a friendly host, who informs you on everything you need, and is available over email beforehand, if you have questions. The only less positive thing is that the street noise is a bit loud at times, but that is, I think, inevitable in Rome and has nothing to do with the apartment itself It did not bother us very much and we would definitely use this apartment again.
We had a splendid time and enjoyed the appartment very much. Our hostess Giovanna is a very nice lady and took care of everything we needed. Earplugs can be helpful because the scooters and cars in the street below make a some noise. But that is really the only thing you can complain about. The rest is great. The appartment is nice, cool even on a hot day and cosy.
Appartamento fortemente consigliato a tutti.

Giovanna welcomed us into her apartment in Rome for 4 days. From the beginning she provided us all the information needed to find the apartment and there was no problem. The apartment is very cozy and well equipped. very spacious and the beds very comfortable. Perfect for six people or more. I recomend the apartment of Giovanna to all who want to visit Rome.
We flew in the Easter holidays in 2014 with our two children (10 & 12) to Rome. From the apartment we were all very excited! Top location, large, bright, 2 bathrooms !! The balcony we used a lot, with view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. Giovanna greeted us very friendly and had a few more tips. Were already at the hotel in Rome but it was much nicer! Supermarket, bakery, delicious pizza all very close. Price performance super! Was once felt in the middle of Roman life beautiful. Would go back in!
